Here is a tentative plan of our schedule aka. horario for this month 🙂
Mon-Tues
6 boys from Los Penos(One of the roughest neighborhood in Honduras), come to the farm for projects and activities. Most of them are out on the street, not going to school and doing paint thinner. In the evening we’ll have a campfire, roast marshmallows and then watch a movie. We have lots of fun activities such as making tie dye shirts and painting signs for the farm.
Wed-Thurs
New group of 6 boys. Same activities.
Fri-Sat
A family from Los Penos and about 6 kids that our contact has relationships with come to the farm for a fun relaxing time. We will play games, have a campfire and watch a movie.
Sunday
Day off! 🙂
For the first few days we prayed and spent hours coming up with a plan for our time in Honduras. After we figured out all the little details we went to buy tons of groceries and supplies. A few of Tonys kids from Los Penos came along with us while we ran errands and we got to help them pick out school supplies and then take them to school. We had our first family weekend that I will write about in my next blog 🙂
