On our second to last day in Romania we travelled to Brasov in order to get a train the next day to Bucarest, where we would fly to Ireland from. I am so thankful that we had a chance to see this part of Romania! It is beautiful there. On one of the mountains that can be seen from almost everywhere in the city, is a sign that says Brasov and looks like the Hollywood sign.
Not knowing where we were gonna sleep that night didn’t even worry me in the slightest, (I was surprised when I realized the fact a day or two earlier). We had discussed going to a campsite but decided to figure it out when we had arrived. Jeremiah from team Shofar had some friends (Jason and Suzanne), living in Brasov who were going to let us keep our backpacks at their house for the day so we could do some sightseeing. God really blessed us with these two incredible people. They were so hospitable and kind and let us stay overnight at their house, as well as bringing us to and from the train station and taking us to Dracula’s castle. Jason and Suzanne are missionaries that are starting a church in Brasov and have only been there for about 2 weeks so far, not knowing anyone there but following God’s plan for their life. I feel so blessed that I even got to meet this wonderful couple and
had a chance to get to see what God is doing in their lives. Please keep Jason and Suzanne in your prayers!
I was really excited that we got to go see Dracula’s Castle because it started looking like we wouldn’t be able to! I loved seeing all the old things inside of the castle, the decorations were so intricate and artistic. As soon as I walked in the smell of old houses filled my nose and I soaked up every bit of it. Outside the castle was surrounded by trees and being on top of a mountain, the view was phenominal. I took about 500 pictures…hehe…
