I absolutely loved my time in Cuenca! Here are some of my favorites:
–Dancing with Genesis!! 🙂 I don’t dance..ever. I don’t know why, but I just don’t. This little girl grabbed my hand and pulled me onto our ‘dance floor’, and we danced it out. She kept her eyes locked on mine, with a smile on her face. It was in that moment that I felt the freest I have ever felt.
–Our contacts/ministry peeps! I love them so much, and was so blessed by them this month!!
–Seeing our children choose to follow Jesus! <3 #proudmama
–Zip lining!! Nothing like trying to conquer a fear of heights by “flying”… I’d do it again 🙂 Getting to experience the freedom and beauty of God’s creation in such a way is breathtaking.
–Going to the lower Cajas. There is just SO much beauty in this city.
–Teaching English to kids!! I realized in Panama that teaching English is actually one of my favorite forms of ministry, so getting to spend time teaching kids English was fantastic.
–Nubia’s cooking–that woman can cook!! Some of the best food I have ever had.
–Skype dates: from my 2 hour conversation with Allison, to my skype date with Mish, to getting to talk to Misty, to calling my brother on his birthday, to calling my aunt on her birthday, to getting to talk to my Em, to talking to all the family, to getting to see my Papa… My heart was filled up during these times. <3
–Chats with Charis while we cook together… 1.) This woman knows how to cook!! 2.) She also knows how to make me blush, make me think, make me laugh, etc.. Talking with her is such a highlight, and I gain so much wisdom and insight into things!
–Dutch Blitz & Skip-Bo… Enough said. Card games are always a favorite!!
–I started drawing again!! 🙂
–Coffee…I had coffee that was so good that I actually didn’t want to put any milk in it.
I also loved my time in Baños, at debrief! Here are some of those favorites:
–Worship time… Feeling God so close is something I will always cherish, and always want more of!
–Celebrating my birthday with the whole squad!! ALL THE HUGS, playing card games with Mish all morning, going to a steakhouse with Mish for lunch, having coffee with Claire, going to the waterfall with Claire, getting an orange rose from Amanda, finding a balloon and birthday card on my bed, sushi for dinner!!!, playing cards with Amanda, having a hot fudge brownie, being sang T-Swift’s song, “22”….Such a fun day!
–One-on-ones… I loved all my time with the leaders. I left debrief feeling so poured into, so encouraged, so supported, so ready for the next leg of the journey.. SO GOOD!! I’m excited to keep going on this journey with them..
–Getting a massage with Mollie, Charis, and Amanda.. There’s a first time for everything! I’m still wondering why I have waited so long to get a massage.
–Just getting to be with my squad. I love my squad, so anytime we’re all together my heart is overflowing with joy! <3
This month was so fantastic!! These were just some of my favorite memories… If I wrote them all out, it’d be everything from the month!
