Yep, I said it. I’m not here to preach to you about the World Race, or Adventures in Missions. I’m not a sales person, and these blogs are written for you to know what God is doing in my life on the field in order to bring glory to His Kingdom. You need to know that I am not a “world racer”, I’m a passionate follower of Jesus and He has used the World Race as an avenue to get me to the places He wants me to go.
The Lord has used the World Race to take me into deeper spiritual places with Him. He has used the other people on this adventure to open my eyes to see Him in new ways. He has used those same people to speak into my life and call me higher into the true identity He created for me. He has appointed times and dates of events all around the world for me to live in, and show others His great love. He is the One who called me to the nations, He is the One who sustains me with His peace to stay on this journey. The stories you read in these blogs are written on my life by the Lord, not by the World Race.
With that said, you need to know that this season of my life has been an accumulation of small deaths in the flesh in exchange for great moments of glory in the spirit. I have seen the Church put on hands and feet and go into desolate places to speak truth and bring revival. I have seen miraculous physical healings take place under my fingertips and turn the lame to walk again, mourning into dancing. I have seen passionate Kingdom-minded people living in poor conditions with smiles on their faces because they know that they are walking in the will of the Lord. I have held and prayed over many sweet babies who have been dropped off, forgotten, abandoned, beaten and raped. I have seen the Lord’s hand in their lives, and His heart for those who can not defend themselves. I’ve given ear to the widow as she weeps in sorrow at the loss of her husband in an unforgiving culture that does not advocate for women. I have proclaimed freedom, and sang songs of deliverance over prisoners while the enemy raged in the background through distraction and oppression. I have fed the poor, laughed with the orphan, and served alongside other cohiers with Christ and it is all to the glory of God.
You need to know that I belong to the Lord, and not the World Race. I am so thankful that the Lord called me out of my comfort to come find the “life abundantly” He so desires for all of His children. The life that makes “suffering” a privilege, the life designed for the miraculous, the life that is full of knowing Him more, and allowing Him to know me more. You need to know that the Word Race is not the only avenue for that, it’s just the one He picked for me.
“The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10
Thank you for reading and for supporting me. My prayer for you is that you know He is using you right where you’re at for nothing short of life abundantly.
Love,
Ash
