Hey all!!

So we made it to Kenya safely. We spent a few days together as a  squad in Nairobi, and then split off with our new teams to our locations for the month. My team (Team Haven) is staying in Eldoret. The family we are staying with is fantastic, they have been taking good care of us. I spend a lot of time playing with their 2 year old son who is the cutist stinkin thing I’ve ever seen. Ministry starts tomorrow for us! The church that we are a part of here is approximately the size of my dorm room from college and we praise God, jump, sing, shout, give high fives and go crazy with about 25 Kenyans. I may be preaching this Sunday so please be praying for me 🙂 Africa is most definitely a whole new world but I love it so far. Bucket showers and a whole in the ground for bathrooms…be careful not to miss the hole or it will spray off  the concrete and you will have grossness on your feet until the next time you shower. We sleep in a mud house with our lovely mosquito nets up 🙂 I also now have a new addiction to Kenyan Chai tea. I don’t normally drink tea…even chai…but I’m averaging about 6 mugs a day. Love you all and miss you and thank you so so so much for the encouraging comments on  my last blog.

mom- last night I shared my testimony with my new team and one of them gave me a verse that talked about being a lily and blossoming- and then I read your comment about grandpa’s lily…God is so wonderful. It doesn’t matter how much distance is between us…God is still connecting us in a million ways. Love you more.
