So far God has brought in just a little under $4,000! That is crazy, I say this all the time but I am completely blessed with amazing people in my life who not only are praying for me but who are helping me out financially with this trip!
I think it’s crazy that two of my big donations are from people I hardly know and a fewer donations are from people that are missionaries themselves, who are also raising money for their trips, that trust in God just blows my mind! I also got an anonymous donation, which really humbled me and I am so grateful for! Thank you so much whoever you are 🙂
My next big “fundraiser” project is through a non profit organization called Thread of Hope. (http://www.threadsofhope.com.ph/index.html) You can head over to the web site to get more info, but basically rather than having families in the Philippines SELL their OWN CHILDREN in order to feed their families Threads of Hope is teaming up with many of the World Race Sept 2010 Squad to sell these bracelets, all profits go to the women and children who make them and the rest goes to help send me to the Philippines to minister… and work to help prevent human trafficking.
When people on my team started using this to raise money I thought it was so cool, THEN the WR added the Philippines to our route!!! I am so excited that God is taking us there; I do pray that he blessed this ministry and the people of the Philippines.
I still love how God ties things together and brings you down paths, like a few years ago my interest was peaked when I heard about human trafficking, then how I just started learning s much more about it, and now I am going to do God’s work to help prevent it, and how he tied in Threads of Hope, seriously, God is so good and His will is always so much greater than what I could ever fathom.
