Hi! My name is Ashley Robichaud (obviously) and I am crazy
excited about this adventure God is calling me to take part in!

I was born and raised in Massachusetts in a teeny tiny town
called Ashburnham, home to one blinking light and a place where everyone knows
your name. I grew up on the lake with my Mimsie, Daddy-oh and Brotherbear (as I
call them.) We have had plenty of adventures, laughs, heartaches and trials but
they are the reason I am where I am in this point in my life. I really enjoyed
high school form the angle of my amazing friends, dance, as well as the Art
Program Oakmont offered us. I was your typical Sunday morning church attendee,
said my prayers at night, yadda yadda yadda.

My Mimsie and I.                       Tarryn (my God daughter) my bro Jeff and I.                   Me and Daddy-oh
& of course Velva… she came with the name 🙂

After graduation I packed up my Honda, and moved down south
to good ol’ North West Arkansas. I am currently in my last year at the
University of Arkansas (WOOPIGSOOIE!) finishing up my year long internship of
student teaching. I think I have learned more this year than the previous 4 in
the program. I can’t wait to one day have my own classroom and shine the light
of Jesus to kiddos in ways that they can experience His love for them.

My heart has always had a huge spot for missions, children
and loving on people. I originally was set on going to Africa, then God laid
Human Trafficking on my heart heavily, and then I found the Word Race. It has
been God opening doors and revealing His will for me ever since. I am so
excited to see Him glorified in all things. Over some scary circumstances and situations in my recent years He has taught me that the only thing worth clinging onto in this life is Jesus. I fight with this a lot, but strive to continue in acknowledging His path he has already walked on, and made just for me. I really want to be able to see people the way God sees them and love others they way He loves us.

What else?

I am wicked sarcastic, I love coffee (pretty sure I drink too much of it), the NE
Patriots, painting, baking, kiddos, laughing, oh man I love laughing. I am
wicked bad at spelling and grammar, the only time it bothers me is when my
students correct me, but a little humbling is always good right? I love my beat
up civic that I have had since I was 16, no matter how much I complain about
her. I love culture, I actually get bummed out sometimes that I can’t speak another language, cook awesome curry or have crazy fun traditions, but that won’t stop me from trying. I own more white V neck T’s than probably anyone I know. I used to be super organized, scheduled, some what materialistic, and a name brand shopaholic … not so much anymore, true story. I can’t stay mad at anyone, ever. When I say I love you I mean it, I say it often and early, but guess what, life is short! Jesus, road trips, inside jokes, good music, mountains, the ocean and best
friends keep me going.

& when I actually take a few minutes to just think about the fact that I am going on this trip, and all the doors God lead me through to get here in the past two years, it blows my mind.
