Sundays are our days to cook for our teams, the cooks and staff have off. Most meals Pam is cooking up a storm with help of others. The guys brought it to our attention that they would be cooking the ladies dinner this week, with no other words.

As days passed we were trying to snoop and get clues what this was all about, I honestly just thought that
Excitment started to brew and Sunday had finally arrived. Most have been “dressed up” for church that morning (meaning a shower, some makeup and a skirt or scarf) and we were told to wait at the bottom of the pavillion. We were greeted with these two fine men.

We were escorted up and entered to a completly trasformed bamboo hut. Complete with flowers for each of us, candlelit tables and flowers leading the way. We were seated by name cards and a letter that spoke words of affermation, life, and scripture.

The men came around and served us drinks of choice, salads, and fine pizzas. (They had the nearby cafe open up on a Sunday to special make them) They did not stop there, we had cake batter ice cream with M&M’s, snickers and bananas, finished off with hot coffee. Talk about loving us!

Dessert turned into a show complete with a song and dance of “Have I told you lately that I love you.” Followed by Michael doing some spoken word from the bible and original things he wrote about us girls on the team. This man has an amazing talent.

Last but not least the table cloth that was used tured out to be a giant banner witht he word BEAUTIFUL on it, along with other words about us women. We ended up taking this banner and hanging it up in the orphanage in the girls hall when we were done
.

So with all the cute details I just shared I just want to express how thankful not only myself but the rest of the girls are to have such thoughful and loving men of God on this trip with us. I think for the most part many of us have NEVER been treated like that, and to have been so by our brothers in Christ who want nothing in return was powerful. I know I have realized we are daughters of the most high King, we are princesses and deserve to be treated that way. I know this is something I need to continue to grow in trust with God, and I am so thankful that these men are here to help us all along the way. Deepest thanks and gratitude to you all who made us all feel like royality, even when drinking out of neon cups on a bamboo table. So much love.
