Ok, first, my last blog title is What your dollars and doing? It should be ARE doing. I promise I have not been out of college that long!
Just wanted to give a quick shot out to you guys from Cambodia. We are in Phnom Penh staying at a YWAM base. We are working with Kaleb ministry. It is a family house (smaller version of an orphanage where it functions like family unit) In the mornings we are teaching English to the children there and the guys are teaching some kids guitar. In the afternoon I with my wonderful intern (hahaha, I call Chris my intern because I was one last year and he is thinking about going into teaching, I love it) we teach English to girls who are in training to become Midwives (So yeah imagine me in a room with uterus posters and the main concept is GIVING BIRTH. Realllll funny God) The girls are awesome, real basic English, I feel like I am teaching first grade again. But so much fun! In the evenings we do a night out reach, we head over to a night shelter where any boys can come for a meal hot shower and a safe place to sleep. We help teach the college boys that help there (this may surprise you….) ENGLISH! Ha, we all eat dinner together and play with the boys. They are so sweet. If you know me you know that “problem” or “disiplinary issue” boys just melt my heart, I mean, seriously. So it is great. EXHAUSTING! But all great.
I will give you more stories and pictures soon, we have a bit more internet so I am so thankful. I still have a video of stuff from the Philippines and more stuff on that. I love you guys, I am praying for all of you, let me know details (send me a message) if you have them. Please pray for more break through and transformation for me, I do not want to be content or settled where I am at with God or His will for my life! (Scary prayer……)
