Heidi and I are walking back from the bus station. I mean, we know the sun is setting and we have a mile to go with no street lights, we are aware. As it starts to get darker the team calls Heidi somewhat worried. “We are fine; we will be home in a bit.”

I mean we were not afraid at all, (I sometimes tend to be a little too fearless) but I did start to pray “Lord send your angels to surround us.”

A few more minutes and its completely dark, we still have a ways to go.

“Lord send your angels to surround us

In the distance I hear a familiar song being chanted over and over with many giggles in-between,

“Yeah yeah yeah… yeah yeah… yeah yeah yeah…”

(This would be the song that Matthew taught the 25+ kids that walk with us when we go down the road for Fanta’s or to catch a bus)

Next thing I know, I see tons of little white smiles surrounding us.

Kiddo’s grabbing my hands on both sides, walking in front of me, and behind me.

Tons of little children completely surrounding us. Walking with us the rest of the way home.

The Lord answerer’s prayers.
