I mean I don’t know where to begin, this blog was going to be about today but I have to add in one thing from this weekend.

Sunday we had our Thanksgiving dinner with our ministry contact, his family and a friend. There was around twenty of us total. Heidi and Pam were in charge of the schedule and cooking and whatnot. I volunteered to make the carrots. We were eating at three. I get there at 1 to start cooking and help out with whatever. As we are cooking I am like “man no way is this going to feed all of us” looking at all the dishes I was sure they were all the same size as ones we would have back home for a gathering of like, ten. Before people got there I was like

“Lord, multiply this food. (Thinking I would stop there but continued) God we want to be full, like so full that it feels like were home for a traditional Thanksgiving”

People show up, we pray, Heidi announces “Guys there is not a lot so be mindful of your portions”

People start serving, I will admit looking around I was like “oh were going to run out of food people have full plates!

Nope

We all are served and eating when I get up to see if there was more… TONS I am shocked. How is there more!? I get seconds, EVERYONE that I saw got seconds. We are all sitting around (almost in pain) of how FULL we are. ARE YOU KIDDING ME GOD?! There were STILL leftovers for us to take home which we are still eating to this day (two days later… in a house with 15 girls who are ALWAYS eating!) ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

So today. Heidi and I were at DHL (which I will save you the drama and frustration) but I was mad, Heidi was mad, we were in bad moods. I was starving, we were still waiting. Were on a limited budget ($1 per meal) but we were going to be at the mall all day (don’t question our ministry lol but email if you need this concern cleared up!) anyways, I was bummed about food. I get a message from Bridget that says “Hey my friend back home put money in my bank account so I could take some girls out for chips, salsa and soda at Chillis if you guys want to come.”  ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

Heidi on the way past wanted to grab a kids menu but forgot. Then we get our menus… hers has a kids menu in it! Now if you are like me and try to order off the kids menu they do not always let you. We prayed, I asked, the waiter paused… he said ok. So all 7 of us get chips, salsa, soda and order off the kids menu… (KRAFT MAC AND CHEESE which I have been dreaming about since Sept) the bill was 35 dollars! Bridget’s friend had given her 30 dollars; we all had to pitch in 1 dollar! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

Ok so for the big finale! We were walking to The Penang House of Prayer (PENHOP) and it’s like down pouring. I, of course, so not have my rain jacket, and am wearing jeans. It’s a good 10 – 15 minute walk. We are SOAKED. On the way up from the elevator Shannon prays

“God please make us completely dry when we get off this elevator”

We all say “yeah, we believe in miracles!” (Kinda kidding, kinda serious)(about being dry, not miracles)

We get off the elevator and no one from our team is there and I said

“It’s ok were just all going to get some crazy cool gift from God tonight that nobody else does”

One of the ladies walks out, looks at us and says “Oh hold on I will bring you shirts to change into (we are thinking old shirts from people left there or whatever) NOPE. Brand new PENHOP shirts, still wrapped in plastic and she says

“Please take them, a gift to you from us, be dry!”

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
