I am very saddened to say that I leave San Salvador today. Tonight we head out to Grenada, Nicaragua for a squad debrief for a few days, then off to Costa Rica for the month of December. I don’t know what our ministry for Costa Rica will look like yet, however I will let you know as soon as I know.

We have just been showered with blessings this month. The city is amazing, and everyone has always been so hospitable to us. We have had the opportunity to visit many different cities in the area such as San Miguel, San Vincente, Santa Ana and many others I don’t even know how to begin to spell, where we have performed some dramas, given testimonies, and preached to adults and youth alike. But most importantly, we just got to meet and form relationships with some great people.

I will always remember playing jump rope with little girls on the side of the road, playing futbol in random fields with some powerful young boys, getting pushed in a pool by a bunch of Jesus loving youth, speaking english with some of the bodyguards from one of the largest Baptist churches in El Salvador, always going out for pupusas no matter the time, speaking about the World Race on national television here, sharing Thanksgiving with a selfless family in Santa Ana, and especially late night movies and cooking parties with our translator Carlos and the best hosts I could have ever asked for, Oscar and Jacky. This home where we have stayed is so filled with love and humor that it has truly become my home away from home. I cannot express how much I love it here and how difficult it will be to leave. Like I said before, I really will be leaving my heart here.

Oscar and Jacky are so filled with the compassion of Jesus and enjoy sharing God’s power and mercy with everyone they meet. I feel so filled up with everything nice just from our conversations together. And those conversations were in spanglish! I cannot imagine how powerful those talks would be if we both fully understood the other!! I know that I am always welcome back here at this house anytime, and they have an open invitation to my house…where ever that may be when I get back to the states.

Our last Sunday service with our family here was yesterday, and I went to church expecting to zone out because I couldn’t understand anything. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The Church was hosting a group of Candaian men missionaries who were also leaving today. So we got the huge blessing of hearing a sermon in english! And trust me, it was a huge blessing. It was totally through God, because he spoke such truth to all of us and said exactly what we needed to hear. He preached about checking our expectations and realizing that God is ALWAYS going to surpass them. He is way beyond our knowledge or comprehension so we cannot always understand why things happen, but we know and can trust that our God is a good God. That will never change. Never. He also reminded me that we have not be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ to sit on the bench and watch life go by. We are called to be active and bold always, sharing that love with others and constantly pressing into His presence to do His will for us always.

Romans 8:28, 37 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. But in all things we are more than conquerers through Him who loves us.
