SO yesterday we started looking for transportation into Mexico.  We had won a personal consultation with the base director here, Bob Waag.   He drove us around to different car dealerships and helped us look around.  We had a great time praying and searching.  Along the way Bob gave us some tips on what kind of cars to look for, what vehicles have good resale values, and the paperwork that we would need to get filled out before acutally driving it through Mexico.  It’s an extreme test of faith to buy a car in just a few short days on a limited budget and pray that it takes you to Guatemala and back.  I can’t post any details about what we found, or any leads on good buys… just for the sake of the competition.  After this part of the race begins, we’ll tell you all about the details of this adventure.  Pray for us though, as we continue to search and then move in on a target.  This afternoon we are going out into the neighborhood as a team to work on starting a rescue mission.  This new ministry will hopefully reach out to drug addicts, prostitutes, and families in need in this area.  Pray that we make good contacts and that the Lord will open a door for us to get a good foundation for this ministry.  God will certainly move as we seek to share His glory here in the Libertad community.  (Sorry if my spanish is off…. I still only know a little!)
