Where to begin! This is my first blog ever…I was never the person to write my thoughts down to share them with others, but there is always time for something new!
One of the hardest things for me to do is to share my heart and desires with other people, but God is stretching me and calling me out of my comfort zone. For the past six years I have had an overwhelming desire to love and care for people, especially those who have nothing. I want to be their helping hand and I want to share God's love for them. Many times I do not speak up, but God is reminding me to take a deep breath and go for it! So here I am writing to you!
About two months ago, God used some people in my life to remind me that I will be entering into a time of ministry which will allow me to share His love. Little did they know that this was something God had been revealing to me for a few years now. One day while I was doing some research online about different mission opportunities, I came across the World Race, and immediately I knew that this was it! 2013 is and is going to be a time of great growth for me spiritually and personally. I will be traveling to 11 countries – Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Mozambique, Swaziland, and South Africa – in 11 months doing ministry work such as feeding the hungry, teaching in schools, caring for children in orphanages and sharing God's love! I am reminded of a song called "Set The World on Fire" by Britt Nicole. The lyrics speak so loudly of this mission!
I want to set the world on fire

God has provided and opened so many doors for me so far! I am thankful for such an awesome opportunity! I will embark on this mission in September 2013. To participate in the race, I need to raise $15,500 which covers my expenses on the field.
