On Wednesday the 18th for english class my kids sang songs like twinkle little star and songs about animals and colors. Then they rehearsed their dances and songs for graduation with the other classes. Once that was over, the rest of the day was recess, so I got to play with them and love on them for the rest of the day. On Thursday the 19th, they had graduation practice for most of the day. Friday was the last day of the school year. We had a pajama party for the last day. We played on the playground, then they all watched a movie. It was a great day filled with fun and treats. On Saturday the whole squad came to our house to celebrate Thanksgiving. We had chicken, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls, and stuffing. It was fun to get to celebrate it all together. On Sunday I I went to my kids graduation. I watched their performances of jingle bells and their dance. It was sad when I had to say goodbye at the close of the ceremony. On Monday I went back to the school to help my teacher Lucy take down the things in her classroom to prepare it for painting. Then I watched the other teachers kids on the playground while they went over financial matters in the principles office. I am going to miss my kids but it was such a privilege to build relationships with them and pour into their lives. We have two more weeks left here in Guatemala. As our time is coming to a close here we are working towards finishing construction on the widow’s house that we are building. I will be going back and forth painting the classrooms at the school and doing construction on the house.
