“For i know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and hope.” -Jeremiah 29:11
The last two weeks in Guatemala I spent painting the school and doing construction on the widow’s house. During debrief I was told some unexpected news. As you all know I have been sick with various illness over the past three months. The leaders in charge of my trip told me that they had been in prayer, and that they are not going to let me continue the program. Instead of going to Malaysia they sent me home back to California. This is not my choice at all. I would rather be on the mission field for six more months, but sometimes God’s plan isn’t always our plan. Guatemala was a great experience. I gained many great friends, formed good relationships, and got to pour the love of Jesus into the kids in the orphanage as well as the ones in the square. I don’t know why I’m home, but I’m sure God has a good reason for me being back home.
