Thank you to everyone who supported me financially and in prayer as I prepared for my nine months mission trip. The world race has finally begun! ? I spent the last four days in Atlanta Georgia with my team getting the final training to lead us to success on our journey. Today we all packed up our belongings and headed to the airport at 6am. We went through the airport to our gate without any complications and boarded our plane at 9:40. My team had a direct flight to Guatemala City. It was a fairly short flight, only being about four and a half hours long. Once through customs our contact Louis picked us up from the airport and bussed us to our project site in Antigua Guatemala. Once there, he showd us our accommodations. It turns out the organization that we are working with, Nueva Generation, has a guest house for us to stay in. It was a great surprise to find out that we have bed frames to sleep on and an actual bathroom to use during our stay. We are excited to be diving into youth ministry within the next couple days and are looking forward to what God has planned for these next three months here.
