First time in the ocean, tasting the saltiness on my lips
and feeling it scorch my eyes as I swam underwater.
First time flying international, along with the first time
being in an enclosed space (the plane) for 11 hours
First time going to a foreign country; I was hesitant to go
on this trip because the countries were in Asia, and I really never wanted to
go to Asia, but I’m here and I fell in love with Asia, the people of Asia, the
countries of Asia, the scenery of Asia, and seeing God work in Asia.
First time ever doing a mission trip, and I thank the Lord
constantly that my first trip is this trip, with these girls, and stopping
Human Trafficking.
First time drinking iced coffee with sweet milk (which is
necessarily just sweet and condensed milk, thick and full of sugar!) and it was
amazing. Pure deliciousness in a cup!
First time ever experiencing homesickness and the pains of
missing my family, my church, and my friends
First time sleeping on the hard and cold floor of the
airport because we had an 8 hour layover on our way from Cambodia to Thailand
The upcoming firsts will consist of riding an elephant
(which is going to be awesome), eating real (and most likely super spicy) curry
in India, wearing a traditional Indian outfit, and so much more that I don’t
even know what it is going to be.
This trip has opened up things in me that I didn’t know existed
and has grown me so much already in only a short period of one month. God is
going to continue to completely wreck me and destroy me so that, before I
realize it, He will rebuild me and mold me.
Will the girl that is super stoked for this raise her hand…..
