Thailand. It’s beautiful. It’s quiet. It’s polite. It’s relaxing. It’s adventurous. We arrived early in the morning, riding in the back of a pick up truck I couldn’t believe the hush I observed. Kelly and I rode in the back of the truck with the packs, welcomed by a refreshing cool breeze. It was the first time in a while I was cold, (and last time for a while.) The first week we taught English to both boys and girls, at different times. The rest of the time, we only taught boys, English and bible. The girls drew Kelle and I pictures, of ourselves. They’re adorable. I found a place that reminded me of home, but it’s only an ice-cream shop. On our off days we explored with elephants, visited a botanical garden, and hung out with our translator, Tony. We had a fun cowboy party where we learned to line dance and two-step. We wrote songs, we danced in the rain, we learned how to fish with a gun, we got tattoos, we played funny games, we did bar ministry, and once a week we taught preschoolers English at the local daycare.
