What ministry looked like week one: VBS
What ministry looked like when we were assigned to physical labor: putting together the conference center
(All girls teams construction day!)
What the rest of the month looked like: Village evangelism
We were able to welcome this young woman into the kingdom of Christ. She’s a new sister of ours, one of my favorite days on the race.
What an off day in Haiti looked like: Beach, coconut hunting, and prom
Things that have become normal on the Race that aren’t normal in real life:
Brushing your teeth with the water in your water bottle
Showering with your shoes on
Hand washing your clothes
Not flushing toilet paper
Taking as many selfies as you can on an unattended phone
Sleeping with a mosquito net
Feedback every single day (most of you don’t even know what feedback is…you’re missing out!)
Seeing kids with no pants
Holding kids with no pants
Hammock city
Constantly itching bug bites
Sweat 24/7 (no, but seriously)
Sleeping with out air conditioning
