we have been introduced. Shy at first.
we became friends and we had our fights.
I didn’t understand you, you didn’t understand me
and now that time and distance has come between us I can better see
that you are valuable
that you are wonderful
it may take me some time
for my views to change, for my love to grow
but I want to come back to visit you
experience the different parts of your land and people
someday soon, or perhaps the far future
