I have arrived. Not in the metaphorical sense, but rather, physically-I’m in New Zealand and at the threshold of my missions trip. Getting here was a journey involving 3 planes, my first experience in first class (still don’t know how that happened), carrying more luggage on my person than ever before, strategically repacking to stay under weight restrictions, and losing a day of my life-literally. The time difference between my home in Fort Lauderdale, FL is 18 hours behind New Zealand. While we flew to the west, we flew back in time, over the international dateline, and into the future from January 3rd to the 5th. We’re staying at a YWAM center for the next few days until we get hooked up with our ministry contacts to start our work with them. We are sleeping in tents and I’m excited to use my camping equipment so soon.
