Earthquakes
MANY OF US HAVE SEEN THESE IMAGES AS REALITIES WITHIN THE PAST FEW WEEKS….
Over the past few weeks, I have heard so many news stories of earthquakes, tornados, floods, fires…heard of people who have found out they have cancer, a loved one passed away…people experiencing discouragement, depression, physical pain, emotional exhaustion, financial distress, spiritual discord, unplanned pregnancy, loss of job, legal trouble, relationship, marriage, or friendship issues…
I don’t know where you’re sitting at today…
but lately, in all of the chaos happening around me, God has really been teaching me the power of prayer.
In devotional book by Max Lucado it says this:
“Most of us struggle with prayer. We forget to pray, and when we remember, we hurrry through prayers with hollow Our minds drift; our thoughts scatter like a covey of quail.
Why is this?
Prayer requires minimal effort.
NO location is prescribed. NO particular clothing is required. NO title or office is stipulated.
Yet you’d think we were wrestling a greased pig.
SPEAKING OF PIGS, Satan seeks to interrup our prayers…
He knows what happens when we pray.
“Our weapons have power from God that can destroy the enemy’s strong places”
–2 Cor. 10:4
The walls of hell shake when ONE person with an honest heart and faithful confession says, “Oh, God how great thou art.” Satan keeps you and me from prayer. He tries to position himself between us and God. But he scampers like a spooked dog when we move forward.
SO LET’S DO IT.
“Humble yourselves before God. Resist the devl, and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you” –James 4:7-8
Jesus immersed himself, his words and his work in prayer.
Powerful things happen when we do the same.”
It’s not about the “right” words or “feeling” of prayer…
It’s about Jesus.
 He knows your heart. Just talk with Him.

SO  WHAT are    YOU   WAITING     for   ???
Nothing is too great or too small,
to significant or insignificant to ask for in Jesus’ name.

immunizations to help keep me from catching various diseases

and as of just a few hours ago, because of your prayers, I have a potential job!!

And as i get ready to leave for training camp in only 13 days, my heart is just racing in excitement of how excited I am to FINALLY meet my squad mates (all the people going on the race with me) and just experience what God has in store as we prepare for Launch in September!!
TOGETHER… We are going ACROSS THE WORLD to serve and love others, to share the Hope and Love of Jesus, and to be a part of God's response to the brokenness and needs across the globe. Gosh…
Jesus really is enough.
Did you know?
Jesus + nothing = everything
that means there is nothing we can do that can separate His Love from us.
There's nothing we can do to make Him love us more or less. He loves us.
HE LOVES US.
and that, my friends, is enough.
and it's enough to change your life around completely.
He certainly has changed mine.
and He's inviting you too. To be loved by Him. To be in relationship with Him.
