Well Hello! πŸ˜€

I'm Ashley, I'm 22 and I just graduated from the University of North Dakota on May 14, 2011 with a Bacholor of Science in Social Work and a Minor in Nonprofit Management and leadership. I am from North Dakota. In case you are wondering, YES we do have vehicles AND the internet, and NO I did not grow up on a farm or in an igloo (although with the winter months sometimes it feels like I do). πŸ˜€

Yes, this is a REAL picture of SNOW in the end of April 2011. My dad decided since there was snow, why not build a snowman??!! Only in North Dakota is it considered "spring" yet it not only snows through April but also sometimes May or even JUNE!

FAMILY

I have a BIG family.

From left to right is my dad, Daniel, Nicki, Andy, me, Tim, Amy, Alison, and my mom.
Out of all my siblings, I am the fifth child out of 7. My family is pretty great. We all live in the same town and are able to get together often. No matter if it's a holiday or just a regular day, you can be sure that when we are altogether, things are NEVER dull or quiet!

HOWEVER…
a few people not pictured also include my wonderful brother-in-law and beautiful nieces (it's hard to get a picture with everyone in it). Also not pictured are my extended family such as my wonderful grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins–all who I appreciate and love very much.

This is our precious dog, Maddie, sporting some shades with a cute little elvis smirk πŸ˜‰

+I love to Laugh..until my side hurts, and tears flow…that is my favorite thing πŸ™‚

+I also love love love to Sing! and also I really like to doodle.
+I don’t like talking on the phone. But I love public speaking and talking face to face with people.
+I like to dance…and do so quite awkwardly…but oh so freely
+I’m outgoing in small groups but tend to be quieter in large groups
+I don’t get peer pressured easily. In fact the more people try to pressure me, the less I would be willing.
+I need sleep to function properly and happily.

+I don’t mind knowing the endings of movies before I see them, trust me I will still be SUPER involved, surprised, emotional, scared…or whatever emotion it is supposed to envoke.
+The things I love doing the most, I do so with ENORMOUS PASSION
+I have only be camping once
+Sudoku and solitaire are two of my favorite pastimes.

The process of deciding about whether to go on the World Race or not was an intensive and long process… So i will share that story some other time; but here are some verses God used to lead me to the World Race:

Matthew 28:19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

James 1:21: Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
