i apologize for the vague-ness of this blog
but due to the sensitivity of this country and the people we are working with i can’t give much more detail.  sorry!

over the past week or so team oasis joined forces with two contacts across three countries to search for an unreached people group.  it was through many hours in the car, countless conversations with people, and the grace of God that we now have a very good idea about where the people are located here in turkey.  from here, more teams will be able to go into these places and develop relationships with these overlooked people.  our time with the people was just great.  we traveled through greece, bulgaria, and turkey.  the lord blessed us with beautiful days and opportunities to see His incredible creation.  we accidentally stumbled upon philippi and took a morning to explore the ancient ruins of the city.  team oasis is back in istanbul now, recouping from the past week and getting ready for debrief with the squad.  the k squad will be having thanksgiving here in istanbul, yes, thanksgiving in turkey.  and then we will move on to israel at the end of the month.

greece, how i love thee.

the jail where paul and silas were jailed is in philippi.  stacy and i broke in to re-enact the scene.
we met this woman in a small,  bulgarian village.  she invited us into her home and fed us lunch along with chocolates, coffee, and cookies.  when we were leaving she gave us traditional bulgarian slippers.
she is such a precious, gentle spirit who we will continue to pray for.
