after being in thailand for all of five minutes i knew i was going to like it here.  we’ve been in hua hin for the past few days debriefing as a squad.  tomorrow we will head to bangkok to have cultural training before heading off to our designated ministries for the month.  things are a little bit different this month as we were able to pick ministries as individuals instead of as teams.  the men will all be going off to do ‘man-istry.’ somewhere in the jungle or something.  and the women are being split up according to where we felt the lord was calling us to serve.  i will be joining fourteen other women in phuket, thailand to work with she ministries.  we will be doing outreach to the prostitutes in the bars and hopefully leading them towards jesus and a better life.  the ministry we will be working with offers these woman an alternative, healthier lifestyle while providing them with ways to support themselves and their families.  as a result of the different ministries this month, i will be a part of a new team for the month of april.  please keep all of k squad in your prayers as we minister throughout thailand.  if you would like to check out my new team members [and you definitely should] you can go to their blogs: nicole marett, birkleigh foreman, and danielle contarino

with all of that, i was browsing through old world race blogs tonight and stumbled upon this video posted by jessica johnson who was in thailand a few months ago.  the video is incredible and beautiful and well worth your eight minutes.  hopefully it will give you both a glimpse of what we are stepping in to as well as the message we hope to convey.
