So much change has occurred within our squad since coming to Bucharest a week ago. God has turned upside down everything that I found security in. I came into the World Race expecting change and challenge, but God has taken that to a whole new level for me. For some reason, I viewed my team as a point of security that would be there through thick and thin on our 11-month journey. I see now that I looked to my Fuego family for security rather than to God alone. Everything else can and will change, but God does not. He is the only security in this world.

Teams and leadership positions have been reorganized within our squad. I would like to introduce you to my new team – in.tent.city (intensity). Will is going to be our team leader, and I am extremely excited about where God is going to lead us. It is true that the change has been hard and most unexpected, but God is good and I can see His hand at work in this situation. I have a deep peace and confidence that God has placed each person on this team for a specific purpose. A common desire within each of our hearts is to press deeper into God and into relationships with each other. We want to be intentional about pushing each other closer to God. Do I think it will be difficult? Yes. But I also think it will be very good.

Through this painful experience God has shown me the depths of His love and grace. This change has broken me and forced me to fall face-down before the God of the Universe. Thankfully, He is also the God who holds the hurting and comforts the broken. Being broken and humbled before Him is not a bad place to be in. It is there that I can see His strength. It is there that I rely completely on Him and Him alone.  As I press onward into a new adventure of unknowns, I must continue to look to Him for strength and guidance.

Change hurts. It makes us uncomfortable. But God is good. He can work the good, the bad, the painful, and the ugly experiences of our lives into a beautiful masterpiece that displays His goodness.
