I have never seen as many children in one place as there are here in Malawi. Every time we visit a village, it seems that children start popping out of the woodwork. Soon, we have a whole crowd of kids surrounding us and yelling “Azungu! Azungu!”, which means “white person” in Chichiwa, their local language. The kids follow us around from house to house as we share the gospel and pray for the people we meet. At the end of our ministry time, it is difficult to extricate ourselves from the swarming mass of kids. These children are so quick to love and accept us. We are complete strangers to them, yet they are eager to offer us their friendship. I think this is one way in which Christ wants us to be more like children – quick to accept and befriend others. Here are some pictures of the amazing kids we have met.
