Hello
everyone and welcome to my blog page! First of all, I suppose you would like to know a little bit about
me. I am 21 years old and am in the
middle of my senior year at the University
of Arkansas. Like my dad before me, I am majoring in
Chemical Engineering and plan to graduate next May. But perhaps I am getting a bit ahead of
myself. After all, we can’t start the
story in the middle now, can we?
I
was born in 1987 in Ponca City,
Oklahoma. Since then, my family has lived in Houston, Texas;
England; Scotland;
and finally Maumelle, Arkansas. I have two younger sisters, Allison and Alesha. I have always been very close to my family, and
I don’t know what I would do without them. We have the best times together! I can honestly say that my family members are my best friends. They have been a steadfast source of
encouragement, guidance, and wisdom for me. More and more I am coming to see just how blessed I was to grow up in a
Christ-centered family, and I am beginning to see how much this loving and
nurturing environment has shaped me into the person that I am today.
came to know Christ at a very young age and have grown up with God playing a
large role in my life. But it was not
until my teenage years that I really began to own my faith. Since coming to college, I feel that my faith
has grown by leaps and bounds. So much
of my maturing in Christ has come over these last three years that I am
sometimes amazed that God could fit all of it in! The biggest catalyst for growth came in the
summer of 2007 when I went on a month-long mission trip with AIM to Ireland.

awakening for me as I began to see God’s plan for the world, not just for me. Since then, He has continued to soften my
heart towards the lost, hurting, and dying all around me. He is opening my ears to hear the pleas for
help all around me; and He is giving me the strength and the desire to
respond. That is part of the reason for
me going on this trip. I see that it is
time for me to answer His call. It is going
to be an exciting journey, and I can’t wait to see where He will lead me.
