It’s A Process…

It’s difficult to describe what I’m feeling. I’m numb, uncomfortable, tired, sore, but amazed by what God is doing in our lives. First day of training camp, I was nervous to meet everyone, but excited and interested to see what kind of people I will be spending the next 11 months of my life with. We all come from different backgrounds, churches, areas of the country (even Canada), but what we do have in common is our love for God.

We have grieved together, laughed together, worshiped together, exercised together, and loved God together. I think the event that stands out in my mind the most is our “Surrender Walk”. During this time we walked alone on a path in the beautiful mountains in Georgia carrying (logs with words written on them) about what was holding us back from completely surrendering to God. It was difficult for me and for all of us, but so refreshing to leave everything at the feet of the Lord.

Memories of Training camp so far: being hungry, praise and worship by the camp fire, team builders, freezing my butt off for half the day, EVERYDAY, port – a – potties, cold showers, inspirational speakers, eating interesting food, laughter, tears, surrender.

I will write more when I have completely processed everything I am seeing and experiencing. I will say God is good, so we all can rejoice!
