(The gorgeous sunrise we woke up to after a long night of little sleep.)

I’ve been back from Training Camp for almost a week now and I’m still struggling to put the whole experience into words. Recall the most incredible sunset or scenery you’ve ever seen. Now try to put that into words. You’ll most likely come up with words that describe its grandeur and the impact it had on you, but nothing can fully describe it. I’ve had several people ask me how Training Camp was and, in an attempt to give an answer, I say, “It was so good.” But that doesn’t even begin to touch what Training Camp was like. It was SO good, it was SO hard, it was life changing, it was deep, it was wide… and still those words aren’t enough.

With that said, I want to share how The Lord moved, what He showed me, what He spoke to me, and how He loved me… but please forgive me if it seems fragmented. I’m overwhelmed by the grace and love of the Father, and I’m still trying to process all of it.

Throughout the week at Training Camp, The Lord showed me even more of His kindness, even more of His generosity, even more of His tenderness, more of His thoughtfulness, more of His love, His grace. He showed me so much more of Himself.

The Lord gently and lovingly showed me that I have acted entitled, that I have complained, and that I have lived life under the “What about me?” banner. He invited me to throw off these things and began to teach me how to give freely, how to live each moment fully no matter the circumstances, and how to serve humbly. What a sweet Daddy.

Jesus declared that He is my Shield, my Defender. He whispered, “Come away with me,” and told me that this race is going to be like a honeymoon for us: full of adventure, love, and life.

The Holy Spirit began overwhelming me with words for our squad and for individual friends. He gave me boldness to pray for others and to share those words with them. Watching the Holy Spirit minister to my friends was absolutely astounding.

I have so many stories to share from that one week; so many that this blog may crash if I tried to post them all. But still, I would absolutely LOVE to share them. If you want to hear the stories of how our squad got close very quickly, stories of learning humility by being covered in fire ants, stories of learning to try new foods each day… please don’t hesitate to message, call, text, or email. I would love to share all of it.

My next fundraising deadline is coming up quickly! I need to have $7,500 in my support account by August 22nd. The Lord came through in an INCREDIBLE way for the first deadline, and I have full confidence that He can do it again. If you are interested in supporting me, I’d love to talk with you! Or, you can click the “Support Me” link at the top of this page. Thank you to everyone that has supported me thus far! 🙂
