I can’t believe this dream is finally beginning. It really does feel like a dream most days, a blessing too good to be true. I can’t wait to begin this incredible journey in September, but there is a lot of prep work to do beforehand, from packing everything I’ll need for 11 months into a backpack to preparing my heart for the experience ahead.
Lately, I am learning about the joy that comes in supporting others in what the Lord has called them to. And, guess what… IT’S TRUE! Where your treasure is, there your heart is also! Your treasure may be your time, your prayers, and/or your finances. I have experienced an overwhelming joy in investing all of these things in others and I want to invite you to experience the same joy.
There are currently two ways I am asking others to partner with me:
Please join me in prayer. This season of preparation is already proving to be a season of stretching and purifying my heart. Thank God for that! It definitely has been difficult at times, but we have a good, good Father and he never leaves us nor forsakes us. Please pray that our Father would continue to be near, to speak, to grow, to lead, and to pour out his love and joy. He has been SO faithful and generous in all of those areas lately!
Would you consider partnering with me financially on this incredible adventure? The total cost of the trip is $16,285 – which includes the costs of training, travel, lodging, food, and other necessities while abroad. Luckily, this amount is broken up into installments with deadlines to meet along the way.
• $150 Deposit – Due 1/1/2014 (2 weeks after your acceptance date.)
• $3,500 – Due 6/27/2014 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
• $7,500 – Due 8/18/2014 (2 weeks prior to leaving for the World Race)
• $11,000 – Due 12/1/2014 (End of 3 months on the field)
• $15,500.00 + $754.35 (*Insurance) = $16,254.35 Total – Due 3/1/2015 (End of 6 months on the field)
My next deadline to meet is on August 22nd. I am currently $3,900 away from meeting that goal. Any gift, big or small, helps me reach the goal! 🙂
