You guys… it’s almost here. We’re only two months away from checking our bags that we, for sure, have been preparing to meticulously pack. Only two months away from finding our seats on the first flight. Two months away from watching the sunrise outside of the United States. Two months from launching into an epic adventure.
Since becoming a part of iSquad six months ago, I’ve watched us grow into an amazing family. We daily encourage each other, confide in one another, and spur each other on. Even though most of us have never met face-to-face, I already feel as though I’ve known you all my whole life. It’s like meeting your soulmate… your other half. In reference to marriage, many say, “You know when you know.” I feel that way about you guys. That we all were purposefully put together. That The Lord has always planned for us to be family.
While on the Race, I’m sure there will be times when we will fight, times when our constant contact with each other will sanctify and refine us in ways that aren’t the most fun. But there will also be times when we wish that God would stop time just so our talks could last a little longer, just so we could laugh together even more. And I can’t wait to experience all of that with y’all.
So, here’s to the next year of our lives. Here’s to fiercely seeking after The Lord together. Here’s to late nights and early mornings. Here’s to emptying ourselves in ways we never knew possible. Here’s to bottoming-out and then reaching new heights together.
I love you guys. And I can’t imagine this epic adventure without every single one of you.
