What comes to your mind when you think about going on a trip to 11 countries in 11 months? Where you will be backpacking across the world, not having the American comforts you really do enjoy, not really knowing what you are going to encounter and having to trust God?
Yah…you are probably thinking:
How exciting!! What a great opportunity! Are you crazy? What in the world!? There is no possible way?! Where’s the logic? Think of the places you will see! God is going to rock your world!
ARE YOU CRAZY!!!???!!!
Well that is what is going through my head EVERY minute of EVERY day!!
Truthfully I have no idea what to expect from this trip and that is what I am most excited for! I am ready for God to rock my world, turn it upside down and show me things that I would never believe otherwise! I don’t want to put a lot of expectations on this trip because than I would be putting God in a box and I don’t want to miss one single thing we has in store for me! I am ready to be vulnerable and to put all my ‘’comfort” away!
This trip is NOT going to be easy! If you know me at all…you probably have laughed at the thought of me camping, living out of a backpack, having no running water and electricity at times, eating foods that you really don’t want to know what it is. I have laughed too…and cried over these very thoughts! I’m not going to lie and say BUT I’M READY FOR THIS AND IT DOESN’T MATTER! Because it does scare me but I asked God to change my routine and to help me get out of my routine and comfort zone and…and He answered my prayer!
A verse that God has set on my heart is Luke 1:37 which says “For nothing is impossible with God!”
For this 11 month adventure anything is POSSIBLE and I am thrilled, scared and honored that God has allowed me to be a part of this!
