This past week has been incredible to my walk with the Lord, my relationships, my growth, and my life. I have felt the gentle hands of Jesus lifting me up, refining me, and waving peace amongst my clouded thoughts, fears, and insecurities.
One of the biggest blessings has been working with Children's Garden. This is an organization that works to get boys ages 13-20ish off the streets – teaching them skills to promote excellence in their lives. I'll share much more about this ministry and the huge impact that it has had on my life in a later blog, but as for now check out this video.
Children's Garden is a "faith-based Christian organization committed to enhance the quality and productivity of the lives of street boys through physical, mental, spiritual and emotional empowerment".
Their goals/mission is:
1. To provide a home for the care of the street children.
2. To provide a skills training program to enhance their socio – economic stability, self–sufficiency and social responsibility to become productive citizens.
3. To conduct spiritual activities that will strengthen relationship of street children with God and inculcate among them, Biblical, moral values and a positive attitude.
4. To train and educate through Alternative Learning System (ALS).
I made this video to share with people in the United States about what's going on in this incredible ministry. I have fought tears daily while doing ministry in this place. There is a warmness that overtakes you when you walk into the home. These boys have become my brothers. Their lives have been changed and transformed by the gospel, and it's a beautiful thing. They are currently experiencing "new life". Share this video with EVERYONE you know!
