As I reflect on my time in Africa I wanted to document just a few of my favorite moments in each country . Africa was so good to us , we had many first and wonderful experiences . We learned how to do children’s ministry , how to speak in front of groups of people , how to relate with high schoolers and so much more . So here’s a list of my favourite things so far :
Month 1 :Cape Town South Africa
1) praying for a girls back and it being healed
2) the boys taking their their teeth out (passion gap)
3) family day at the beach sunburns and all
4) worship night at the ywam base and selling cookies for mishael
5) going to the beach at night with bron
6) the family I made there
Month 2: NGarange Botswana
1) the crazy bus ride to the Okavango (cows and donkeys on the road )
2) heaving my first outdoor shower
3) going to bed hearing the hippos
4) painting ADORE and watching the children’s reactions
5) game drive in Namibia ; we saw giraffes , elephants and zebra
6) themba and George’s dance off
Month 3: Madagascar
1) watching 150 kids do the sheep song
2) watching a man sew feathers on a live chicken so it will fly (not joking !)
3) teaching swimming lessons to local children
4) participating in a lip sync battle
5) making chapatis (Flour tortillas) for 50 people
6) worship night around the fire
7) Holy Spirit night
