Well, I am supposed to write a little about myself. First of all, I am so excited to have the opportunity to go on the World Race! I feel like the Lord has been feeding my spiritual life with some Miracle-Gro these past few months!
                                            This is me…

Right now, I live in Scottsdale, Arizona. I wasn’t always a desert girl though. I grew up in Waco, Texas and the surrounding area until I was about 12. That’s when my Dad’s work moved us out here. Now his business is actually ministry more than anything else! He helps people find their God given strengths and to use them to complete each other. To really know that we are designed to be different from one another and that’s not a bad thing, it’s an amazing thing!

I have one sister who is 14 months younger than I am. She is my best friend and I miss her a lot. She has been working at a Christian camp called the JH Ranch up in Northern California for about a year now. I am actually leaving this Friday to go work there as well for a couple of months. Some of the biggest things that the Lord has used to grow me involved my sister. We went through a time after we moved here when she and I just about hated each others’ guts. It wasn’t so good, but the Lord has taken that away and brought us so close together. She just recently got engaged to Jeremiah. So exctiting. I love her soooo much!

This is my beautiful sister playing the piano!
This is Aims and in her Volkswagon Bus….

As you might have noticed, I love photography! The Lord blessed me with the most wonderful job last year working at the local hospitals photographing babies! It’s so rewarding to see these new blessings every day.

I also have a keen passion for hiking, climbing, bouldering, water skiing, camping, exploring…. the list goes on. I guess you could say I love the outdoors and traveling! I do a lot of hiking with friends, but it gets hard to find people who like to go on 10+ mile hikes in a day in the summer! One of the last hikes I did was to Fossil Springs with Heath and Nathan and Jake. Heath is like the energizer bunny, he could just go and go and go. He finds most of the cool places that we hike and gets us there. Here are the guys having fun…

Well, that’s a little bit about me. I am sure that I will be blogging about my call to the missions field here soon so check back. Also, I can’t wait to meet those of you reading this who are my fellow teammates. I am so excited to meet you at Ignition Training! Ok ya’ll, it’s waaaaay too late here so I need to get some sleep.

 In Christ Alone,
Ashley :^)
