I know it´s been awhile since I last posted a blog. I apologize. There is no internet here in Huaticocha and the closest town is Loreto which is 30 mins. away, so my blogging is going to be few and far between and there probably won´t be many pictures either! And with slow internet, this is going to be short and sweet.
The good news is that my first week here has been great! My team and I are staying with a family who owns a store and holds church in their basment. Ivan is working on building a school to train those in his town, and the surrounding towns, to be missionaries. My team is working landscaping. While there aren´t any buildings yet, our job is making paths and clearing out the area. It´s a lot of work. I´m using muscles I didn´t know I had! About 4 days a week, we visit different homes and pray and share the gospel. It´s been great!
I´ve also had the chance to do some wonderful things:
*I jumped off a 20ft bridge (twice!) into a river
*One day, hiked up a mountain, in a skirt, in the mudd! I was the only one who fell in the mudd!
