Throughout this trip I’ve had to share my testimony more times than I can count and at first I debated on whether or not I actually wanted to share about my dad’s passing. As the first month passed I realized how far God had taken me with His love. So I’ve been sharing it. God is love. Just look at 1 John 4:7-21. It’s clear. And on this wonderful adventure called The World Race, I’ve discovered just that.
For most of my life I’ve sought after earthly love and not God’s heavenly love. Over the past 10 months I’ve realized that God placed my father here on earth to be the Lord’s vessel to love me and encourage me. But God’s love is greater than any love my father gave and let me tell you, my dad was amazing! Although the pain and hurt is still there, I have been able to realize who God is for me which has helped me be able to deal with the loss and push forward. He makes waking up each morning doable and worth it. God is so very good.
As we celebrate our fathers today, I want to remember mine, who was kind,
compassionate, loving, remarkable, humble, and beautiful beyond words.
A shout out to the best daddy in the world shooting some hoops with Jesus in Heaven. Love you and miss you tons.
