On Sunday November 14 my team and I had the opportunity to
be a part of the National Day of Prayer in Thailand. This is a country where
only two percent of the population is Christian. Most of the country is
Buddhist. But on this day many Christians from around the country gathered in
downtown Bangkok
to sing praises and pray for their country. Their king. Their economy. The
youth. The teens. You name it, it got prayed for.
all gathered for dinner and a worship service where we sang songs in Thai and
English. It was beautiful sitting under an overpass with a couple thousand
Christians singing out praises and praying. God never ceases to amaze me that
even though I am so far from home He is still with me. The God I worship in
English back in McBain or Allendale is the exact same God that these Thai
people are praising in some language I’ll never understand. Now that is a
pretty darn amazingly huge God.
