Coming into the race I felt as though my passion in serving
God’s kingdom was through young children. I love being a Wyldlife leader for
middle schoolers and young children make my heart melt. Over the past two
months, I feel as though God is really showing me a new ministry and I love it!
This ministry is something that I never really considered for myself but I am
so glad God is exposing me to it in great ways.

God has shown me the beauty
and power of college ministry.

That’s right. College
ministry
. I forget how much I loved serving on leadership while attending
GVSU. In Thailand and here
in Cambodia
I believe I have found my passion. I come alive in the presence of these
students. Here are a couple examples of why I love college ministry…

Meet Jom

Jom is a freshman student at Ram 2 University in Bangkok, Thailand.
He came to our ministry for the month, Baan Jai Diaw (BJD), just a few short
months ago. Raised in a Buddhist family and country, he followed what he knew.

Upon arrival to BJD
he became friends with the students and staff who love the Lord with a great
passion and zeal. Jom became curious of God and started asking questions and
reading a Bible.

When I met him, he was daily reading the Bible to discover
the God that we serve. It was a beautiful thing to see. My team and I were
constantly praying for him to seek salvation. I could feel that he was close.
But, when I left Thailand Jom was still not a believer. I continued to pray for
him daily.

THIS IS WHY I LOVE COLLEGE MINISTRY

Two days ago I received a facebook message from a BJD staff member
stating,

“I thought you and the girls might like to see my facebook status.
Today we got a new brother in Christ. Jom prayed and accepted Christ today.”
