Friday in English class I was having my usual discussion
group during English class and I went around the circle asking my usual
questions…

How are you doing
today?

I’m sorry but there
are so many of you…what is your name again?

Did you enjoy learning
the song we taught you today?

Are you a Christian or
a Buddhist?

By this time of the month, I pretty much know the answers of
the regular students. But Friday one girl, Jasmine, caught me off guard. She
answered, “yes when I asked if she was a Christian. I knew she was a Buddhist
which sparked many follow up questions.

She then proceeded to tell me that after the Bible study on
Thursday night she went home and decided after hearing about Jesus for a month
or so, she wanted to become a Christian. I asked her more questions to make
sure she knew what she was doing and then I prayed for her. Right there she
accepted Christ as I held her hands.

Yes! There are angels in Heaven dancing right now to
celebrate gaining a new family member. My group and I joined in the dancing and
called my contact over to share the good news.

After class my team and I were able to pray for her. I love
the Agape Shalom Center’s
ministry. So many Buddhist students are becoming Christians and being equipped
to share the Gospel with their families back in the village.

Please join with me and my team as we continue to pray for
the ministry and especially for Jasmine.
