So here’s a little taste of what life in Zimbabwe has been like…
Everyday things
Bucket showers
No zesa (electricity) periodically
Either steaming hot or super cold water
Eating Sadza (cornmeal and water) and chicken or beans
Sometimes no toilet paper
Bus stops with no toilets (going in full view in the grass, or right next to the bus)
Hand washing clothes
Blessings I’m so thankful for in Zimbabwe
Ability to live gluten free, even if it means pb & j on rice cakes
“Western” toilets
Toilet paper
Showers.
Chocolate, sometimes
Instant coffee, even if it isn’t Starbucks
A nice breeze every now and then
An awesome contact family to stay with
And two great teams to share ministry with
I know this is a short blog but I wanted to give one more update before we leave tomorrow to head back to South Africa. Pray for safe and quick travels! We are on to our second month of the World Race and I want to say thanks to our great contact family in Zimbabwe and to team Ignite for a great first month!
