Greetings from Uganda!!
Right now, we are in Jinja, Uganda!
**Uganda be kidding me, I’m in da NILE!**
Africa.
AFRICA.
I am in Africa!! This is soo crazy!!
We left Vietnam at 7:00 on Sunday night. We took two planes (with a layover in Dubai, United Arab Emirates) and then we bussed from Entebbe, Uganda to Jinja, Uganda. We arrived at the “resort”, that we are all staying at, at 8:30 on Monday night. Right now, we have a couple of days of squad debreif and rest until we leave on Saturday to start our ministries this month.
This month, my team- Burning Joy, will be in a village on the outskirts of Kampala- the capital city. We are unsure of what we will be doing specifically- I’ll let everyone know when I know 🙂
Right now, I am writing this update to you all from our ‘common area’ (it is a porch/lookout that is built over the Nile River). I am looking at the Nile River right now!! This is soooo insane!!

This is so crazy and I am so excited to see what God has for all of us this coming month!!
Prayer Requests:
Pray that my team continues to deepen our relationships with each other and with God.
Pray for boldness for our squad to step into whatever it is that God has in store for us.
Pray for our squad to not be timid in the things of God.
Pray for us to step into our gifts and listen actively for God.
Pray for health for all of us. It’s Africa after all. 🙂

P.S. On a side note, I hit (not hard) a monkey today with my hand. It came up and perched on the table that I was sitting at. I had some Starburst wrappers that I was saving to use for a craft… we had Starbursts because our AWESOME squad coaches- Jim and Sammye Cambell- brought us candy when they came to this debrief!! Anyways, the monkey grabbed the stack of wrappers. I had no idea what to do. So, I gave it a little swat… lol. It dropped the wrappers. But yeah, that was my animal abusive side- as my teammates say.
P.P.S I am $2,088 away from the amount that I need to stay on the race. I don’t know what else I am able to do to get money in. It is out of my control. If you know me, you know that that is not something that makes me happy- being in situations that I cannot control. But, I KNOW that God is in control and whatever His will is for me IS going to happen.
