First, I am only writing this blog because God woke me up and told me that I was going to write about this. I am not writing this to get in a debate with anyone or to change anyone’s views. I am not writing this to say what is wrong or what is right. I am simply writing this as an informative piece. Food for thought, so to speak.

When I went home, a friend talked to me about some recent news in America.

Something along the lines of a bakery being sued because they refused to sell a cake to a couple of gay women…

After I was told this, I presented the question:

       What would you have done?

And now I’m asking- I don’t want an answer- I’m hypothetically asking,

       what would you have done?

As I see it, there are two answers: sell them the cake or don’t sell them the cake.

Truth: God is a Holy God. He is perfect. He cannot live with sin. He is set apart from                                             sin.

Truth: Homosexuality is sin. God condemns it in the Bible.

Truth: Murder is sin. God condemns it in the Bible.

Truth: Lying is sin. God condemns it in the Bible.

Truth: We are all sinners. Every single person in this world deserves death for their                                              sin.

Truth: All sin is sin to God. It is equal in His eyes. Sin is sin is sin is sin. They all                           deserve death. There is not one that is worse than the other.

Truth: We can not know a person’s heart. The only human that knows about your                         salvation is you. We are commanded not to judge.

Truth: God gives us all a free will. We can make our own choices. We get to choose to sin or not to sin. We get to choose to do this or that. We get to choose to love or not to love. It’s completely up to us.

So, in regards to this piece of American news.

The bakery chose not to sell these women the cake. They decided no to sell to these women who they could see were gay. I assume that they didn’t sell because homosexuality is wrong. Well, we are all sinners. We are all in the wrong. I think that if they didn’t sell because of sin, then they shouldn’t sell to anyone because of sin, and therefore they shouldn’t be in the business of selling things to humans.

So, my answer to the question is I would have sold them the cake.

but, that is just what I believe

I know that there are Christians that believe that the cake shouldn’t have been sold and the bakery is doing great and is a great example to us all.

If that is the case… should they sell you a cake?

     Think about it.

Seriously, pause and think about it.

Have you sinned? Lied? Stolen? Hated?

Is sin not all the same in God’s eyes?

— so you are in the same boat as any ‘sinner’ that you can visibly see their sin…

                     right?

So, they shouldn’t sell you a cake, right?

Is it judging to not sell a cake to one sinner over another?

I’m not writing any of this to make anyone feel some kind of way. Rather, I want us all to think and consider more than the simple answer of

don’t sell them the cake.

I love you all!
