This year was the Best. Christmas. Of. My. Life.
PERIOD.
Not gonna lie, I am not wishing to be in Uganda each Christmas. I am not wishing to be living in a ten by ten room with 6 other people. I am not wishing to slip and fall down a hill of red mud. I am not wishing to be peed on by a 3 year old African boy. BUT, God let me experience an amazing celebration of His birth with six amazing people in AFRICA this year!! I will never experience such a Christmas again and I will NEVER forget it!
EVER!
My Awesome teammate, Asia, was able to set up a paypal account for us to get our family and friends to donate a couple dollars into so we could give our Ugandan family a great Christmas. Let me tell you,
IT. WAS. AWESOME.
My love language is giving presents/acts of service. I love to make people happy. It’s my jam.
We were able to buy all 17 of our family and close friends a Christmas present! The utter JOY and GRATITUDE,
the WHOOPS and SHOUTS of EXCLAMATION was so heart warming.
My heart exploded!
I couldn’t ask for a better or more memorable Christmas!
I’ll never forget it!
Nor will I forget the Christmas that I got to take three bucket showers… 🙂
I bucket showered in the morning. Then, I went to the Christmas morning service. After we got there, I grabbed Martha and asked her to walk with me to pick up a girl that I had been building a relationship with and bring her to church. On the way down to her house, I did a super slow motion feet-sliding-out-from-under-me fall down a muddy hill. Hence- bucket shower number two. Then, at the Christmas evening service, a little boy that I was holding decided to pee on my lap, which gave reason for the third bucket shower.
Best Christmas Ever!
Hands down.
Thank you all for all of the prayers and support!!
