Hello friends!
I was recently accepted into the World Race Gap Year! It Is VERY exciting and will change my life forever! You may have a couple of questions and I’m hear to answer them!
What is the World Race Gap year? Great first question! The WRGY (world race gap year) is a mission trip that takes place in 3 countries over the span of 9 months! Crazy cool Right!? I will be able to spread the word of christ in the Balkans, Philippines, and South Africa! We will be working with orphans, fixing buildings, and much, much more! But most of all we will be sharing and teaching the word of christ and showing Gods Love and making a difference in each country we enter!
Now you might be thinking “Ashleigh does this mean you’re not going to college?” Absolutely not! I have Prayed about this for a long period of time and truly believe that this is where God has me! Education is very important to me, just as much as traveling and making a difference in the world! WRGY is for people my age (18-22) who aren’t quite sure what they want to do right after high school but want to take a journey with God. Being able to see the world and have God break my heart for what breaks his! This is a life changing trip I’m about to embark on and if God calls me to go to college I will definitely take that path, or if he leads me in another direction I will be obedient and go wherever he guides me.
A big question you might have is “how can I help or support you?” Well I’m so glad you asked 🙂 . While this trip is super amazing and life changing it comes at a small price. I need to fundraise $13,805 before I leave in August 2016. I would love the support not only finically but also with prayer! Prayer for my team and also for the countries we will be traveling to!
If you would love to support me, you can donate here on this blog and/or I will be sending out a fundraising letters and it will have a fundraising card to mail! I will also be having some fundraisers in the near future so watch out for that!!
There’s so much evil in the world and I believe that God will use me to make a difference. “You are young, but do not let anyone treat you as if you were not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them with your words, with the way you live, with your love, with your faith, and with your pure life.” 1 Timothy 4:12
Thanks so much! See you in my next blog! 🙂
