to the other property and do what ever may be needed for the day. We have painted, built shelves, cleaned out a nasty attic, cleaned out different rooms, swept floors, cleaned lots of bathrooms and many other small projects that were needed.
Our main goal is getting them ready so that they can open up a day care for children. We walk home around 1 or so to eat lunch. Lunch each day starts with a soup then we have some kind of casserole and we always have bread. Some afternoons we return to the other property and some times we stay at the house and spend time with the kids. Then we usually eat supper around 7 and then spend some more time with the kids. Some days we have been very lucky and Paula (one of our contacts here) takes us to town to just spend time with our team away from the house! She has been such a blessing to us. Each night we end our day with what we call ” Love Fest” which is our check in time and we see how everyone is doing!I will have to say my heart is really in this ministry. I struggled in Ireland and many days I felt like I was on vacation to just be honest. I have a heart for this community and I want to serve each day to the best of my ability to give to this community all that I can while I am here. I am so glad God placed our team here. I really think when I signed up for the world race I was expecting it to be hard living conditions all the time and right now we are staying in a nice house with electricity, running water, internet, a very good cook, good contacts, and I could go on and on. The thing that God has really showed me is that the living conditions do not determine what He wants to do in the area. He places us where he needs us and we need to seek that and not where we are or how we are living. Anthony my team mate said it best tonight he said “we placed ourselves in God’s hands and He placed us where we are at!” Ministry here is really easy for me and you all know I love kids and teenagers. I have really enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know all of them. All of the kids here have had some really hard past and to just love on them is awesome and some times that’s easy and others it is not! I also have enjoyed working on the other site. I have worked in the day care systems back home and I know what a difference that good quality care can make and to know we have a part of that is awesome. We have worked really hard on the other property and its nice being able to see the progress being made. I am really excited because we are going into some parks the next few days to play different games with the kids. This will be the first time this has been done so we will learn as we go. I pray that it has a positive influence on the area. We are also going to go to a soccer match tomorrow night and take the older kids from the house. They older guys in the house seem really excited about this so I am sure it will be lots of fun.
I will have to say I could not be more excited about life and how great things are going. My team all seems to be doing really good and we are just so excited about what all is happening here in Romania. We have one week left and we are praying God has great things in store for us.
