Proclaim I 61 is sitting around a table listening to Aaron tell us what God laid on his heart about worship. He wrote a blog about what this looks like and I encourage you to go read it first so you can have a better understanding of what I am sharing with you.  He compares biblical worship to an orchestra.  When an orchestra performs each instrument has an important  role in the piece being played.  Each instrument has to do its part to make it complete and a unified sound. We as Christians have gifts to use during worship. When we realize that there is more to worship than just singing a song we will begin to experience what Aaron is talking about.

I begin to think about what this would like for my team and then for my squad. I started to hunger for this type of worship. I really did not have a clue what this would like for us but I knew I wanted it to happen. I kept praying about it and I then I realized I did not really understand my part in worship. I then began to seek my place in worship. I never really got a full understanding until tonight. We decided we would have worship as a team outside our house. Aaron was playing the guitar and the rest of us were singing. We sang a few songs and it was the same style worship we had always had.  But then the type of worship Aaron had described to us began to happen. Brandy spoke words of encouragement over Don and Anthony. Then Aaron called an Anthony to speak the word God had given him. Anthony shared some amazing words about not second guessing God and wavering. Then Shannon spoke what God laid on heart. Then Aaron said Ashlee you’re an intercessor so what is it that you are feeling? I shared with the group about becoming ONE and then I prayed for us. Then Kendra shared what she would paint if she painted a scene from our worship time. She said she would paint a man who would represent Jesus holding a little girl who just dropped our favorite stuffed animal. When we are face to face to Jesus we will not be worried about what is left behind so why are we worried about what we are giving up to follow Him?  It was an amazing experience for me personally and for our team. We all were led by the Holy Spirit and was used in an orderly manor to Glorify God tonight.  We all had a role in it and it was more than just singing a song. It was an awesome time of worship. I had hungered for it and I did not know what it would look like but now I hunger for more of it. We are just now stepping out of comfort zones and into our gifts. I know as we step out and continue to grow we will see great things through this type of worship.

I now want to experience this as a squad. When we were in Ireland we had some awesome worship times but to take it to this level will be amazing. I invite you Holy Spirit to conduct us as individuals, teams, and squad.
