We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting…..
In my personal life:
· To be broken
· To find out who I am
· To see God like never before
· To be open to God using me like never before
· To worship in new ways
· To pray more than ever
· To see things unimaginable
· To have passion about things I never have before
· To be changed forever
Through out this journey:
· To see God move
· To make friends that will become my family
· To miss home and family and friends
· To see things through a different view
· To gain appreciation and contentment in my life
· To understand and live the Word of God
· To serve like never before
· To be attacked by the devil
· To be on rollercoaster of emotions
I have so many mixed emotions as I am preparing for this journey in my life. I think more than anything it is the unknown? I will learn to depend on Him and allow Him to lead me and guide me each step of the way. I look forward to this trip and all the ups and downs it may bring. Yes this will be an adventure of a life time and I am very blessed to be a part of such an amazing journey. I also know that there will be times that are hard and as I grow in my personal relationship with God things may not be easy and there will be times I wonder what I have gotten myself into. I will see and do things I have never even thought about and all of these things are what this trip is about. Seeing God in a new form and being open to what He is doing through us and in us. Allowing Him to change us and use us without our comfort zone and lifestyles hindering us from all HE has for us. I am preparing and even though the unknown is scary to think about I am really excited about this amazing journey I am so blessed to apart of .
